He died on the 20th January 1917, aged 33.
Arthur, a building worker, was a widower, living with a friend in Barford in 1911. He was the son of Henry, an agricultural labourer and Mary Hopkins, Mickleton. He was born at Willersey, Gloucester. He had four brothers, James, Henry, Caleb, Ralph and a sister, Alice.

He is buried in the Longuenesse Souvenir Cemetery, St. Omar, France.
