He was killed in action on the 17th September 1918, aged 18.
Frank was the only son of Edward, a gardener, and Agnes Baker who lived in High Street. He had three sisters, Kate, Iris and Margaret. He formerly served in the Devonshire Regiment. He served overseas sometime after January 1916.

He is buried in the Ste. Emilie Valley Cemetery, Villers-Faucon, Somme, France.
