He was killed in action on Sunday 25th August 1918.

Charles was born in Barford, enlisted in Coventry and served overseas at some time after January 1916.He was the son of Charles and Esther Hunt, market gardeners on the Wellesbourne Rd.

His wife, Lizzie, nee Law, of Fairford, Gloucestershire, ran the Barford Post Office and Charles was a G.P.O. engineer. A daughter Edna May was born three months after he was killed.

His brother Alec also served and survived the war.

Decorations received, British War Medal and Victory Medal.

He is buried in Le Vertannoy British Cemetery, Hinges, Pas-de-Calais, France.
