He died on the 12th October 1916, at the Battle of Transloy, aged 21.

Reuben was the son of Charles, a bricklayer and Bessie, a laundress, who lived at Wellesbourne Road. He had two brothers, Thomas and Sidney. He worked as a ploughboy.

Decorations received, British War Medal, Victory Medal.

Commemorated at the Thiepval Memorial, Somme, France.
