He was killed in action on the 31st May 1918, in France, aged 36.
Frederick was the son of James, a landscape gardener, who lived in Keytes Lane. His mother, Elizabeth, died when he was very young. He had three brothers, Arthur, Ephraim, Charlie and two sisters Annie and Florence.
Decorations received, British War Medal, Victory Medal.
Commemorated at the Soissons Memorial, Aisne, France.
